Which Way
There are two directions a one way of communication and a two way.
- One-way
communication is communication without any feedback, for example putting a
piece of paper up on a notice board.
- Two-
way communication is one where there is feedback, so like in a general
discussion.
The different levels
In a company there are many levels of communication. The directors being
at the top and the workers at the bottom. In between there would be all the
other managers and assistants.
Lateral Communication
People in the
same level within the organisation pass information to each other
Vertical Communication
People in
different levels within the organisation pass information to each other
Information Technology
On
going developments in information technology create enormous opportunities
for improvements in communication. The
use of technology such as e-mail, faxes, mobile phones and network systems
speeds up communication. However
the cost of having these devices do prove costly as machines and systems
